Hey all ?
My name is Britt Barak, and I’ve recently joined the Developer Relations team here at Nexmo.
I was born and raised in a small town near sunny Tel Aviv, Israel, also known as the Startup Nation. I’ve always been incredibly excited by the idea of creating a startup, a team, a product, an app- from scratch to a grown, living and kicking thing.
My journey with development started with building Android apps. Until now, I have had the privilege to lead the Android development on a few startup companies, and to join the Google Developer Experts program.
In parallel to my day jobs at startup companies, tech communities have been an inseparable part of my professional life.
I was co-leading Android Academy community and later on started Women Techmakers community in Israel. A part of the local communities, I’m a worldwide public speaker. I love the opportunities to travel the world, share knowledge and experiences. It gives me the opportunity to meet and engage with interesting people, and get to know new cultures and communities. Also, it’s a great way to create more visibility for diverse role models, which I’m an avid advocate for.
A part of tech, I enjoy practicing yoga as much as possible, at the most beautiful locations possible.
As working with developers has been my passion for at least a dozen of different reasons, I’m now thrilled to be doing it full time with the great team here at Nexmo and with the community of Nexmo developers!
I can’t wait to hear your feedback, thoughts and experiences with our APIs.
Now, let’s create connected applications with Nexmo APIs!
