Amanda Joins Nexmo’s DevRel Team!

Ahoy-hoy! My name is Amanda Folson and I’ve joined Nexmo as a Developer Relations Manager.

In a past life I was a developer, where I worked on projects ranging from small web apps to Windows Mobile apps to ancient government systems written in J2SE 1.2. At some point I realized that I liked tech and teaching and decided to combine the two. I’ve spent the last few years doing developer relations for companies like PagerDuty and GitLab which has given me an opportunity to teach people about PHP, operations, and API design.

Most days you’ll find me hacking on PHP things, but I’ve been known to do terrible things in Python and Perl too. If I’m not at my desk, you’ll find me biking, playing guitar, or reading a book.

I’m excited to join the DevRel team at Nexmo, and I look forward to seeing you at an event soon!
