Webinar: Getting Started with Nexmo Voice and WebSockets

Published February 15, 2017 by Glen Kunene

With the recent addition of WebSocket support, the Nexmo Voice API allows you to connect a voice interface to just about any endpoint. You can now push voice beyond the standard phone system and VoIP. WebSockets opens the door to new voice integration use cases, such as server-to-server communication between the Nexmo Voice API and speech AI platforms like IBM Watson or Amazon Alexa.

Ready to get started? View a recording of the webinar from Nexmo Developer Advocate Sam Machin where he walks you through:

  • An overview of the Nexmo Voice API
  • Programming your first Hello World call
  • The fundamentals of the WebSocket feature

After you’ve learned this technology, you will be well on your way to building your own innovative voice applications.

Here is a recording of the webinar.
