Detrack Offers Real Time Communications for Last Mile Deliveries with Nexmo SMS

Detrack is a leading last mile fulfillment solution for brands and logistics providers across 40 countries including Thailand, Indonesia, and Hong Kong. It was critical for Detrack to have a notification system to serve their entire logistics cycle. They previously used email to notify recipients of package delivery, but found many messages were unread or undelivered. Many recipients do not own smartphones, making it difficult to provide the real time service they sought to provide. Detrack also wanted to reduce to the “communication chase” between the driver and end user by automating the notification process and reducing overall touchpoints needed to make a delivery.

Detrack wanted to disseminate real time delivery information to all stakeholders and implemented the Nexmo SMS API to provide:

  • Real time communications notifications for the entire last mile delivery cycle, including pre-delivery, en-route delivery, and post delivery
  • 2-way communication capabilities between drivers and package recipients
  • Driver performance surveys via SMS
  • Important delivery data including place of delivery, geo tag, time, partial delivery and why items were rejected, damages, and more
